2009/01

" Here in tropical Phuket, Thailand,  we have now entered the slow season but still  your private paradise awaits you.

We have had a slow 2008 high season. Politics, airport blockades and the fuel price crisis did nothing to entice visitors to Thailand. Despite these little irritations, we had very good charters.

With our new arrival to our charter fleet, S/C PLAYBOUY, a GULFCRAFT ORYX 36, has proven to be a good lady, in that she does the Similian trip in under two hours. Her power comes from two Suzuki 300 Hp outboard motors. Unlike DOUBLE ISSUE, she is able to run underneath the Sarasin Bridge up to Similian Islands, thus saving on time. She has taken many divers up to the islands to dive in the beautiful reserve. Well done girl.

The charter parties came mainly from Russia and China. They seemed to dominate this time around. Let us see if in the coming months ahead, we may be able to entice more of other countries folk to come and visit Phuket ?

The guests have always been excited and ecstatic after the various voyages and vowed to come back and enjoy another charter on board. Some folks did come back to enjoy more full day packages and some even having two or more live-aboards in their own secluded places onboard DOUBLE ISSUE and on PLAYBOUY.

Their crews have done well to maintain them, to the high standards our clientele have come to expect. Six star service is always offered on board DOUBLE ISSUE  and Five star service on PLAYBOUY.

DOUBLE ISSUE , is scheduled for her annual maintenance in the latter part of September 2009. This is when her anti-fouling hull paint is applied and minor repairs carried out. She looks spectacular out of the water, but, she is most at home, riding the swells, here in the Andaman region.

PLAYBOUY has had her first service on her engines and gear boxes and is as right as can be.

With the two vessels in our fleet, we now give you a greater choice of charter options in the Andaman region, offered by LUXURY YACHT CHARTERS.

You may now also leave comments and suggestions in our new Guestbook on the web site. Please do write to us.

With the ending of the rains later in the year,, we at LUXURY YACHT CHARTERS, DOUBLE ISSUE, PLAYBOUY, our crews and our agents, await your enquiries as to how to book and experience your dream journey in your very own world. Your private paradise on the Andaman Sea is now only a mouse click away. "
